Envisioning Chemistry: Crystallization II

Crystals are beautiful, but more beautiful are the processes of forming crystals, i.e. crystallization. This film recorded the crystallization processes of 5 salts. We first added droplets of saturated salt solutions on glass slides. The evaporation of water initiated the crystallization processes inside the droplets, which were captured by time-lapse photography. For more films, please go to Making-of:
