The first at :09 presents the Strange Change Machine aka Time Machine. This interesting toy produced “shape memory“ plastic figures of prehistoric animals & science fiction-like creatures. They could be re-compressed back into a “time capsule“ block, and then re-created. (This toy was discontinued due to safety concerns, as it used such high temperatures in operation that it required tongs to be used.) At :37, Talking Barbie is introduced as well as Talking Stacey, who was Barbie doll’s “British chum”. They were part of the new group of Talking dolls for 1968. The Stacey dolls have a British accent, bendable knees, rooted lashes, straight long hair, blonde or titian tied on the right with a green ribbon.
