Ammonite, Omanyte or Snail 🐌?#shorts

It`s not a snail. It`s a really nice ammonite from the Jurassic, i tapped out of the little limestone rock. I induced the crack in the rock with a geological hammer. I then wet it with some sea water to show off the calcite colours of the ammonite. I could see the eroded keel of the ammonite protruding out of the stone. The fossil ammonite is called Arnioceras bodleyi, its a 190 million year old ammonite, found at low tide along the Jurassic Coast. The ammonite was an ancient marine seacreature. I recommend wearing safety spectacles and sturdy gloves when using a geological hammer. I go fossil hunting at low tide for these right little rocks, i stay away from the dangerous cliffs that are liable to fall suddenly and without warning. My YouTube channel @Lyme Regis Fossils has some longer fossil hunting videos on it. I called my channel β€œLyme Regis Fossilsβ€œ on YouTube. Its a geologists dream to live and work in a place where the earth`s history is being revealed every day.
