Boris Johnson and Keir Starmer clashed in the most furious session of prime minister’s questions in our memory. In fact, we’ve never seen Boris Johnson behave like that, well, ever. Moments before PMQs began the Electoral Commission revealed it had opened an investigation into the makeover of Boris Johnson and Carrie Symonds’ Downing Street flat, stating: “There are reasonable grounds to suspect that an offence or offences may have occurred.“ And, after Starmer listed examples of “Tory sleaze“ in his final question, Johnson went apopleptic.
