Alba Thermal Springs and Spa | Hayball

Hayball’s architectural scheme for Alba Thermal Springs and Spa seeks a contextual richness that cultivates a sense of site and place, integrating the contours of the natural landscape. The building’s form is characterised by its monumental raw concrete that is nestled within the landscape, allowing the natural character of the site to be the hero. The façade’s ribbed texture, bronze glass and metallic finishes add a touch of robustness and intervention amongst the natural landscape. Water is a recurring theme that informed our design ambitions to enhance the connection to natural elements which is interpreted in entry, reflection space and pools.
