Repair cracks in interior plaster walls. It’s common and, in most cases, superficial. So relax and caulk them. Since many have asked why I didn’t use fiberglass mesh or paper tape around the perimeter of the plaster patches, I will explain. You can use either Plaster-Weld or Quikrete bonding agents. Most folks don’t use anything around the edges, we always do as we’re professionals plus that’s the proper way to do these kinds of patches for longevity. FYI, using tape weather paper or fiber-mesh tape would leave a hump around the patch’s perimeter. When installing new sheetrock then tape is necessary around where all the boards meet.
