The video uses both the San Mai blade structure and the Mokume Gane technique and Damascus steel technology, and I don’t know what to correctly call this mixture of technologies. The porous copper in the photographs of the blade is powder steel impregnated with copper, the physics of the process is not completely clear to me, pure powder steel was poured into the container.
