To commemorate Hispanic Heritage Month, please join Cuban-American artist and arts administrator Marietta Ulacia, who has over 20 years of experience in the non-profit cultural field. As the Executive Director at the Afro Latin Jazz Alliance of New York, she leads a team of musicians and arts administrators in the performance and preservation of big band Afro Latin Jazz through live productions and educational activities for young people.
Marietta is a co-producer of the documentary film “Fandango at the Wall” recently released on HBO Max.
She is a Board Member of EduCarte, a nonprofit music education organization in Maryland. She earned her BA in Visual Media and her MA in Arts Management from American University in Washington, DC. and has lived in Cuba, Mexico, Brazil, Belgium and the United States.
