M/S of a group of penguins, followed by a shot of the keeper with the bucket of fish, surrounded by the hungry birds, one helps himself to a fish from the bucket. Len Hill is seen with his blue macaws, and throwing his grey African parrot up in the air, and playing with him by pushing him round and round on his back.
Various birds are seen - a mynah bird, two new guinea crown pigeons, two leadbeater cockatoos, Len’s daughter Rosemary with a scarlet macaw, school children sketching some pelicans. Len is seen persuading a macaw to go to bed by coaxing him inside, and shutting the door of a high barrel cage using a stick. There are doves on dovecote, hornbills, and a toucan holding a grape.
