Andrzej Panufnik (1914-1991) is one of the most important and original symphonic composers of the 2nd half of the 20th century. The cello concerto, the composer’s final work, in this performance features cellist Steven Honigberg, the Aukso Chamber Orchestra with its conductor Marek Mos performed in Warsaw, Poland, October 25, 2014. Written for Mstislav Rostropovich, the work is stunning in its scope and depth.
