Talesh Nomad Migration to higher pastures in Summer | IRAN
For centuries, the Taleshi nomads of Iran have followed the rhythm of the seasons. Each spring, they embark on a remarkable migration, leading their flocks of sheep and goats up to the cooler highlands. Leaving their winter encampments behind, they journey to higher pastures bursting with fresh growth – a summer smorgasbord for their livestock. During these summer months, the nomads trade their winter dwellings for unique wooden houses, a type of fixed tent, creating a temporary yet vibrant community amidst the breathtaking mountain scenery.
