Wild Triops in their Natural Habitat

Help support the channel, buy my book: Close-ups of Triops in these natural pots. A Triops eating a Caterpillar Triops Expedition I pull a feral triops out of the water to observe it’s alien appendages. These triops are some of the oldest living species of animal in the world. Fossils show these crustaceans have changed very little over the past 70 million years. They live in little pools of water on top of desert mesas. Their eggs are sand grain sized crystals that can last (theoretically) forever. They have a third eye on their underside. No Triops were harmed in the making of this video.
