#氷山キヨテル #mothy #氷山キヨテル14周年 #freepalestine
This was my favourite VOCALOID song back in high school.
The reason I loved it so bad, even more than the Evillious Chronicles itself, is because it’s a more realistic song by mothy. It deals about pollution, the endless labour of mankind, capitalism, and even the fact that wishes upon stars just don’t come true. Mothy really did further humanised the stars, as if like, what if the stars have feelings? The very embodiments of hope, now are wallowing in despair, due to the greedy human nature of the wishes?
I have always wanted to make a cover with this song, though I didn’t know what occasion should I make it for. So I made it for his 14th anniversary, though sadly I am late once again since I have been SUPER busy with preparing to go to the States (yes, sadly I’m going to the States now, specifically Seattle). And also, with everything going on in this world and the genocide in Palestine, I feel this would make a good song for that.
Because, if the very embodiment of hope itself is wallowing in despair, what even are we?
Also, as to quote a proverb attributed to the Cree, probably one of the most well-known:
“Only when the last tree has died, and the last river been poisoned, and the last fish been caught, will we realize we cannot eat money.”
Happy 14th Anniversary, Hiyama Kiyoteru.
From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.
P.S. I shall forfeit all my mortal possessions for Hiyama Kiyoteru Synthesizer V AI.
