StyleWeek Northeast January 2013: Kent Stetson Anniversary Runway Show with Big Nazo

The catwalk became a stage for Kent Stetson’s tenth-year anniversary celebration. He’s been creating his incredible handbags—works of art, really—for a decade, and he wanted to go big for this show. The audience was in for quite a delight when his unconventional models strutted their stuff—Providence’s own Big Nazo lab creatures! There were at least a dozen wild and ridiculous alien-like creatures stalking down the runway presenting his purses like gifts from the gods. Handbag designs included a photographic print of a Martian’s face made into an oversized clutch, a fuchsia space suit-like tote, a leather carry-all with an alien eye printed lining, a black tote sporting a bony x-ray print and an amazing orange purse with dangling gold chains.
