Because of their righteousness and majestic appearance, they are also called dragon angels. They were the firstborn, teachers of the elves and founders of the culture and civilization of Eden. Their most powerful representatives are the Dragongods. They are the protectors of the Elves and other righteous beings on Eden. Their king rules from the Throne of Fire. Serving the ruler of the Throne of Fire at any given time are approximately one thousand dragons with biomechanical armour. These are almost impossible to bring down with conventional weapons. They are immune to fire and heat, can survive nuclear blasts, and have the firepower of an army with their biomechanical weapons. Their bodies are so heavily armoured that naval guns and heavy machine guns normally could not penetrate them. However, no Defender of the Throne of Fire has yet found its way to Earth. They fight primarily in eastern Eden and alongside the Elves. The Protectorii usually have sharp-edged wings of dragonsteel in their armur. These are used for steering, not for levitation. They fly on the plasma energy of their dragon bodies, and their speed can exceed 1000 kilometers per hour, like other fire dragons. They appear like comets or meteors to observers. These then strike in the middle of the target area and destroy their enemies in a hail of rapid-fire morph weapons. The morph weapons’ ammunition is also made of dragon plasma. The dragon constantly generates new plasma, though overuse can cause a shortage in heavy combat situations. For this reason, dragons usually only fly to the battlefield; during combat, they tend to move on foot to maintain maximum firepower for their morph weapons. When it comes to projectiles, the dragon can choose what amount of plasma to use and in what manner. Instead of laying down a carpet of rapid-fire bursts similar to a machine gun - with higher penetrating power, but only a few hundred meters of range - it can focus all the energy to create a single mile-wide shot. For close combat, many of the Protectorii carry magical swords, equipped with demon-killing runes. These swords can also be built into the dragon’s body, and only formed out of it when needed. A Protector with such a rune blade is able to use all of its plasma energy for movement and can fly around the battlefield at lightning speed.
