Digiterra - Proelium Finitum EP (Argent Metal) (Inspired by DOOM)

Inspired by Doom Eternal / The Ancient Gods Part 2. This is it, I have finished a track for every single level in #doometernal. I’ve put an incredible amount of time and effort into this project and I’m consistently humbled by your support and engagement. THANK YOU. Song writeups/descriptions: 01. Hall of the Sentinels - World Spear was certainly an outlier setting for the game. I committed fully to the ambient and almost gentle nature of this level’s scenery and tried to add a cinematic flair. Of course, it’s still Doom, so the ambience is broken up by heavy sections as tribute to the level’s combat. Fun fact: this song started as a failed draft of Taras Nabad / Fallen Titan. 02. War Cry - Much like World Spear before it, Reclaimed Earth is really... green. But the context of fighting amongst the ruins you created at the end of the base campaign was excellent inspiration for a kind of uprising/battle theme. Brought out some crowd favorites this time including Drop B tuning and my 12-clones-of-myself metal choir. Fun Fact: I had this breakdown written for a while with a file name of T H A L L, and it finally found a home. 03. Eternal Damnation - rolling Immora together with the Dark Lord fight for this one. As is tradition, I resurrected the riff from the teaser trailer into a full song. Just like Davoth augmented himself with that mech suit, I augmented the more traditional instrumentation with all the sound design and synth work I could handle. Fun fact: the final riff and outro seem to fit almost perfectly with the cutscene - that was not planned at all! A really great surprise to close out my time with Doom Eternal.
