This WW2 German observation bunker stands overhanging the 100m high cliffs at Heuqueville in Normandy.
Located just a few kilometres north of Le Havre, it was the forward position for a small gun batterie which featured open emplacements for cannons and anti-aircraft guns plus eight personnel shelters.
The bunker remains in place for the time being due to the large rear section preventing it from tipping down the cliff face but erosion is working its way underneath this part of the construction too. It won’t be long before this bunker is lost to the beach below.
Needless to say, please be careful if you plan visiting. Going inside the bunker isn’t recommended any more for your safety ⚠️
