My new drawing (made using makeup as a medium on an A4 sheet) of the medieval catholic cathedral Notre-Dame de Paris and the Pietà statue (by Nicolas Coustou). I wanted to pay tribute to Notre-Dame de Paris, which was ravaged by a tragic fire last month. The damage was significant in the nave, but fortunately the magnificent statue of the Pietà, representing the grieving Virgin with the lifeless body of Christ on her knees, miraculously survived the fire and the collapse of the roof...
