It is a sport that relies heavily on the connection between horse and rider. In that sense, it is a team sport and one that takes an incredible amount of determination, skill, persistence, and dedication. For many equestrians, this feeling right here, is their reason for being, hence it’s place in this collection… the moment when the horse gives us wings and allows us to reach out every goal. This collection is named after something that truly encapsulates the nature of the body of work. It’s a French phrase meaning, “reason for being” or “purpose.” Each piece is a nod to someone’s passion, purpose, or “joie de vivre” (aka someone’s enjoyment of life).
