Predator Drones Deal: China, Pak Stumped As India Changes Warfare Rules I Partnership
India is set to get the game-changing MQ-9B predator drones as the United States has approved sale of 31 of the deadly UAVs to New Delhi. The deal was announced during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the United States in June last year. The U.S. Congress on February 1 formally notified the possible sale of 31 MQ-9B high altitude long endurance armed Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) to India at a cost of 3,99 billion dollars. Hindustan Times’ Executive Editor Shishir Gupta explains how the MQ-9B predator drones will bolster the Indian armed forces to deter its biggest adversaries – China and Pakistan.
