The built-in low-capacity battery is intended only for saving the settings and the date, as well as for proper shutdown in case of a sudden blackout. You don’t need to charge it, but if you want to tinker with the settings at home, you need to separately purchase a USB-mini USB cable that can be connected to a computer / TV or any 5V power supply! (Only 5V, not higher). A minute after the start of recording, in order to save power, the recorder’s screen goes blank. No need to be scared, the recording continues to work, and to wake up the display, just press any button on the recorder.
