In this video tutorial I show you how we made colorful mushroom fairy houses using some empty jars, tin foil, hot glue, paper clay and paint. It’s a fun weekend project and the creations can be used as candy jars for a candy bar, birthday party, thank you gifts for a baby shower and so on. I think hand made gifts will always be appreciated. The mushroom fairy houses can be used as baby room decoration, piggy bank, jewelry box, cookie jar etc. So you need empty jars with lids, aluminum foil, paper clay (the one that keeps its size when dry - I used DAS modelling material, a great paper clay, but the secret is to water it a little and work it in your hand before you use it, to make it smoother), hot glue, water colors. Choose some jars and clean them with hot water and soap. Think about the shape of your mushroom fairy house. Start shaping some tinfoil into your mushroom’s cap integrating the lid at the bottom.
