Michael Kamen - ROBIN HOOD: PRINCE OF THIEVES - Suite

I’ve gotten quite ambitious with this one: I wanted it to resemble a proper concert suite as much as possible. So the order of tracks, the smoothness of transitions and a good balance between large swashbuckling fanfares and delicate romance had to form a musical narrative without distractions and major omissions. I hope I succeeded, for this is hands down one of my favorite adventure films and adventure scores - and this suite is a labor of love. However, all the work would not have been possible without INTRADA’s wonderful, 4(!) disc quasi-archival edition of Kamen’s score. It was my one and only source for this, because the remastered sound is superb, the presentation is as good as it gets and the first thing you should do if you like the score is purchase it from their website, right now. There is tons of music like this on that release:
