Hezbollah launched nearly 100 rockets towards Israel in a day amid tensions over a possible full-blown war on Israel’s northern front. Hamas’ Lebanon branch claimed responsibility for the barrage of 30 rockets on the Western Galilee, saying it targeted an Israeli military base in the area. An airstrike in the city of Tubas killed five men the military accused of carrying explosives that posed a threat to Israeli forces. The UN Palestinian Refugee Agency (UNRWA) said six staffers were killed in Nuseirat in the central Gaza Strip on September 11. The incident reportedly marked the highest death toll among UNRWA staff in a single incident.
