Massive Fires Sparked By Hezbollah Rockets Spread Across Northern Israel

Smoke and fire consumed northern Israel overnight on Tuesday following a surge of rocket and drone strikes fired from Lebanon. On Monday Lebanon’s Hezbollah said it had launched a squadron of drones towards the headquarters of the Israeli military. The fires prompted evacuations in the northern city of Kiryat Shmona, according to Israeli Police. Mount Adir area, and the northern kibbutz of Amiad, were also hit by the fire… which reportedly consumed an estimated 400 hectares of land. The blaze has been raging since Sunday, and was mostly under control by Tuesday, according to Israeli Media. Six IDF soldiers had been injured due to smoke inhalation, the army said.
