‘Hypocritical’ treatment of US homeless compared to immigrants highlighted in skit
Comedian Alex Stein highlights the hypocritical treatment of America’s struggling homeless compared to migrants in his latest skit.
In the video posted on Stein’s YouTube channel the comedian puts the Roosevelt Hotel to the test to see if they will give his “wife’s” homeless boyfriend a free room, the same as they have been offering to migrants.
“The whole reason we did that was to show the hypocrisy,” Mr Stein told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
“You can say you are Venezuelan immigrant and you can get a US$500 hotel room in the most expensive city in America – New York City.
“But if you are a homeless person who is struggling you get absolutely no care whatsoever.”
