Meet Eydís Evensen

Listen to Eydís Evensen’s debut album “Bylur” now: Eydís Evensen is a classically-trained pianist and post-classical composer from the Icelandic North. Her music reflects on the nature she grew up in and her years of travel abroad. “My parents say that as soon as I could stand, I was up and playing the piano alongside my siblings, being the annoying little sister that I was,” she says. Bylur, the pianist’s debut album, is a calming contemporary classical diary of her life to date, that takes its name from the Icelandic word for “snowstorm.”
