Construction and demolition (C&D) debris refers to any material that is generated by a project from activity that includes construction, demolition, renovations/remodel, tenant improvement, and/or grading/excavation. The debris contains concrete, mortar, bricks and tiles, ceramics, stone, gypsum, aerated concrete blocks, metal, wood, glass, paper, cloth and plastic etc. After a series of processing such as screening, sorting, crushing, and light material separation with specialized equipment, these materials can be reused or recycled, prolonging our supply of natural resources and potentially saving money in the process.
