melting cohesion (AIM 2024)

Art Inspired Music contest (AIM) is a yearly contest held on Newgrounds, where musicians are challenged to create music based on art of their choosing from the Art portal of the site. I wasn’t originally planning to participate in AIM this year to avoid having to rush finishing a submission like last year due to being busy with university, buuuut... I, miraculously, actually got around a free week this time around before uni would became a huge pain in the ass, and couldn’t resist at least trying making something in a short amount of time. And so, I started scrolling the art portal, until I stumbled upon this piece by Esperance: It’s trippy and somewhat eery nature hooked me, and I wanted to make something, and now here we are.
