Birria Quesa Tacos - Homemade Birria Tacos with Consommé | The Frugal Chef
These birria quesa tacos are phenomenal. We are going to make an adobo from ancho and Guajillo peppers, and some spices (cinnamon, cloves, allspice, pepper corns). We will then slather the beef and let it marinade overnight. The following morning, we will place the meat in a steamer and cook it for 4 and 1/2 hours. The final result is simply amazing.
After our beef is shredded we will dunk some tortillas in the fat from the consommé and fry them. We will add cheese and beef and fold them into quesabirrias. Serve them with a side of consommé and you are golden. Delish, delish!
