An old monk calls for a doctor when he feels pain in the stomach. The doctor asks him, “do you have Tenshiki?“, to which he replies, “no“, though he actually does not know what Tenshiki means. He was known to be wise, so he could not admit that he didn’t know what it meant. So, the old monk calls his apprentice, Chinnen, and tries to use him to find out what Tenshiki means.
