It was an eventful Saturday at Firhill as Partick fired five goals past St. Mirren. The Jags got off to a great start, scoring four goals in the first half with no reply. Kris Doolan opened the scoring before Stevie Lawless bagged a quick-fire double. Blair Spittal made it four soon after with a lovely free kick. Thistle were reduced to ten men on the hour mark after captain Abdul Osman was sent off for a second yellow. Spittal scored his second shortly after, finishing off an excellent counter attack for the home side.
