Full title reads: “Stable Lads Battle For Ring Honours“. Marlborough College, Wiltshire. Jockeys and stable lads try their hands in a boxing competition. LV Charlie Lines (in white shorts) versus Brian Clarke. SV Lines fights against ropes. SV Jockey Gordon Richards in audience. SV Both boxers in flurry of punches and Lines misses with left hook, swings round and presents back to opponent. Clarke goes down but immediately rises and they box on. CU Timekeeper ringing bell. SV Gordon Richards and wife applauding. SV Elevated fair-haired, light-vested Eddie Squelch versus Dick Garioch. SV Both boxers mixing it. Squelch using two-handed ’windmill’ style. MV Both boxers still punching and Squelch brings right-handed uppercut up from floor. S. Squelch holding opponent round neck, brings up right upper-cut. Opponent retaliates with right to stomach. SV Squelch gets away from ropes with another right uppercut, which travels in a full circle. MV Elevated Squelch tries two tired-looking uppercuts and retreats
