📃 Оригинальное описание:
A final assault on the northern fells before overhaul for 6201 ’Princess Elizabeth’ hauling Vintage Trains ’Cumbrian Mountaineer’. Lizzie took over the train at Carnforth producing a steady and volcanic display on Shap en route to Carlisle. The return was over the Settle and Carlisle and then to Crewe where a diesel pilot would join the train for the return to Tyseley. The first shot is at Shap Wells and on the return journey at Keld, near Appleby then being buzzed by a helicopter at Wharton Dikes. The final shot sees the train passing through Ramsgreave and Wilpshire station over an hour late having slipped to a stand due to poor rail conditions just after Whalley Viaduct. Eventually after the support crew had hand sanded the rails and with great enginemanship from driver Gordon Hodgson the train was restarted and I’m sure they were relieved to eventually pass Wilpshire Summit. Thanks to Ralph (Ralph5407) for updates during the day
