Speaking Activities (taken from English Proficiency exams)

Have you thought about using exams tasks as activities for your lessons? I´ve been teaching and preparing my students for English Proficiency tests for quite a while and I´ve realised some tasks are perfect for engaging lessons, even if the student is not planning on taking any exam. In this video, I´m sharing 5 speaking activities that I use in my online lessons and really motivate my learners to talk! They all work on vocabulary, grammar, fluency apart from critical thinking and time management. 1) Mediation - Escuela Oficial de Idiomas (Spanish school) 2) Cue Cards - IELTS 3) Long Turn - Cambridge 4) Choice/Agree-Disagree/Preference - TOEFL 5) Long turn - Aptis I hope you find them useful!!!
