Russia Flexes Military Muscle With Nuclear-capable Submarine Enroute To Cuba U.S. Gets Jittery
Russia flexed its military vessel as its Navy flotilla, which was en route to Cuba, simulated long-range strikes on enemy targets 600 kms away in the Atlantic Ocean. Russian Navy’s Northern Fleet has deployed the tactical naval group for drills with Venezuela and Cuba. It includes two of the most modern Russian military assets: the Yasen-class nuclear-powered submarine Kazan and the frigate Admiral Gorshkov. Earlier the crew of the frigate also trained to deal with an air raid using its guns and specialised anti-aircraft systems. CBS News reported that the U.S. had deployed a naval destroyer to shadow the Russian flotilla. A Russian expert claimed that the U.S. was now getting a taste of its own medicine. Watch.
