少林之达摩杖Shaolin Damo Cane or crutch 3 shown by Shi Dejian

Basically there are two types of this weapon which are different. One looks like an acutal crutch or Guai the other more like a Zhang or walking stick. But the Crutch is usually kind a short instead of the Zhang or Cane. The Crutch uses heavily twirlling motions and whereas the Cane is more usesd like a Bang or Hard Whip and it can also be a bit of the clear differences of these two weapons both art wery often called the same Damo are different types of Shaolin forms using this weapon. Like Damo Guai, Meihua Guai. Also in Japan they use a short version which is a little bit different than this. Most people most likely know it as Tonfa. The Damo Cane Routine teaches you how to use your eyes and that it can strengthen the course there might be more reason, but that were those first I was able to find out.
