On a hedonistic Greek island, a middle-aged doctor becomes obsessed with a young tourist when he lets him tag along with his group of hard-partying friends. For middle-aged Kostya, life has passed him by. As a newly appointed doctor on a small island, Kostis spends a bleak winter alone. By the time summer arrives, though, the island has transformed into a thriving, wild holiday destination with nude beaches and crazy parties. When Kostis meets the beautiful and seductive Anna, he falls hard for her and goes out of his way to conquer and impress her. Soon, Kostis was spending almost all his time drinking, partying hard, and even making out with Anna. What starts as a rediscovery with a long-lost youth, though, slowly turns into an obsession as Kostis is willing to do whatever it takes to keep Anna. Sunbathing celebrates the beauty and strength of the young body, while embracing its inevitable decay.
