The Reichstag Fire
On February 27, 1933 at around 9 pm, pedestrians reported the sound of glass breaking near the Reichstag building. Shortly after, fire would engulf the entire building. It would take fire engines many hours to extinguish the flame. This event became known as the Reichstag fire.
