When it comes to high-end cycling clothing there are a wide variety of boutique brands that offer high performance materials and unique designs to choose from. GOREWEAR’s new Ultimate Bib Shorts and Spinshift Breathe Jersey are one of the brand’s top products that are meant to compete with that high-end market. These two items take GOREWEAR’s expertise in fabric technology and combine it with the latest fabric and manufacturing methods. Retail price on the Ultimate Bib Shorts is $280 which makes it one of the most expensive in GOREWEAR’s lineup. The bib shorts feature woven functional zoning and central torso architecture to optimize comfort and performance. The Spinshift Breath Jersey retails for a more affordable $120 and is designed for high breathability. It’s a lightweight jersey that features body-mapped mesh zones and reflective details.
As one of GOREWEAR’s most expensive bib shorts, the Ultimate Bib Shorts are designed to provide the ultimate support for intense rides. These bib shorts are even an ISPO 2023 award winner due to their use of high-tech textile technologies. GOREWEAR only offers the bib shorts in a single black color scheme with white bib straps. Constructed from 79% polyamide and 21% elastane for a next-to-skin fit. Branding is limited to GOREWEAR ghosted onto the legs and reflective hit points along the legs. The bib shorts are designed to have a race fit with anatomically shaped panels to provide compression where it is needed.
The Ultimate Bib Shorts use engineered bib straps which consist of wide single piece straps. With the wide straps ensure the pressure is evenly distributed for comfort on short or long rides. It’s a unique one-piece design with perforations along it to allow for breathability. The straps form a Y shape at the rear with the two front straps joining together near the neck. As a nice easter egg, the straps have a plus sign pattern cut into the fabric along the front of the straps. One of the other features of these bib shorts is the 3D printed chamois. This was developed in collaboration with Elastic Interface which produces most of the chamois on the market. It’s a multi-layer design that is designed to provide comfort on long rides and eliminate any pressure points. One interesting feature is the front cup which is actually a separate fabric piece that attaches to the front of the bib shorts...
