KAWAGEBO

Some mountain scenery recorded March 2011 on the way to Mount Kawagebo in Deqen Tibetan Autonomous Perfecture. From Lijiang to Zhongdian, Deqen, Fe Lai Si and finally reaching Mount Kawagebo and Mingyong Glacier on the chinese border with Tibet. At 6,740m (22,113ft) Kawagebo is one of the most sacred mountains for Tibetan Buddhism. The highest peak is still unclimbed. Mingyong glacier descends from Kawagebo to the Mekong River.
