Shetland fiddle tunes: “Woo’t, Marrit’ and A’ ” and “Doon da Rooth”

Two unusual Shetland fiddle tunes, played by Tom Pixton, accordion, with spectacular films of the Shetlands by Andre Parneel. “Woo’t, Marrit’ and A’ ” (“She’s wooed, married, and all”) is an old Scots song. “Doon da Rooth” is in an unusual 21/8 rhythm and is thought to be an instrumental to accompany spinning.
