Jupiter’s Aurora and Rings in 4K detected by James Webb Telescope (JWST)

On August 22, 2022 NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope presented data of Jupiter’s electromagnetic Auroras and Rings. Technically the images of Jupiter were taken by JWST on July 27, 2022. But actual image processing happened on August 22, 2022 by scientist Judy Schmidt and Ricardo Hueso (UPV/EHU). On the images you can see incredible phenomena of Jupiter’s Ring and Auroras. There are also moons Amalthea and Adrastea. These auroras are created when high-energy particles enter a planet’s atmosphere near its magnetic poles and collide with atoms of gas.
