TEDxTucson George Land The Failure Of Success

The theme of the TEDxTucson December 2011 event was “Innovating Our Green Economy. In his talk “The Failure Of Success“, Dr. George Land gives us a brief history of human innovation and talks about the importance of creativity. George Land is an author, speaker, consultant, and general systems scientist with a broad and varied background in communications, business, education, and government. In 1958, when he was serving as chief executive of an international television network, he began investigations into stimulating and directing creativity. The encouraging results of those efforts led to his founding, in Cambridge and New York, Innotek Corporation, a research and consulting institute to further the knowledge about the enhancement of creative performance. This research ultimately led to the formulation of his Transformation Theory, a theory of transformation that integrates principles of creativity, growth, and change.
