Mountains (1910-1920)

Monitoring Volcanic activity. Opens with wide shot panning down mountain; on a nearer and lower mountain a few horses and riders can be seen below crossing a snow drifted slope. Much closer shot of 2 men leading horses along a rough trail passing big rocks; no snow at all in this shot. But suddenly cuts to aerial shot going over smoking volcano. MS cameraman setting up hand-cranked film camera on tripod; then he puts on a gas mask (!) bends over and starts to film. Shot of cameraman from behind; with his camera turned on smoke blowing from between boulders. A very hazy; dim shot of man walking in this rocky area at edge of crater. Then a very good shot of the 2 daredevils standing on rocks watching masses of smoke blowing around from below. All this looks like it is probably a volcano; but the location is unidentified; and there is a chance that not all the shots are from the same place. Possibly Northwest USA.
