Panasonic Radar Matic RF-880 auto tuning transistor radio (Japan, late 1960’s)

This was Panasonic’s top of the “Radar Matic“ portable, but not the top of the line Radar Matic period, that honor goes to the Panasonic R-787, a large stereo tabletop set (which seems to have the same delicate motor drive mechanism).
