Piano Impawmptu no.1 (Nester)

Piano Impawmptu no.1 in C major This piece was commissioned by a very lovely person for her best friend, who has recently lost her beloved cat, Nester. Nester was a warm and affectionate soul. He and his human were deeply connected to each other and losing him was and is still very painful to her. Working on this piece was extremely emotional for me because I know exactly what it feels like to have this special connection with these wonderous living beings, and I know what it’s like to lose one of them. I tried to infuse this feeling into the piece and I used the piano’s warm low register sound to reflect Nester’s warm soul and to deliver it all faithfully. I really hope this piece could help Nester’s mom in finding a little comfort.
