Just a little quick review here.
I decided to swap over my old 2.5 inch SATA 3 internal SSD for a newer and larger one. The old one was still working and so I wanted a cheap and easy way to keep on using it. This little adapter does the job. I can just plug any 2.5“ SATA 3 SSD or HDD drive into the adapter and then connect to a USB-A port on my PC or Mac and it will mount on the desktop (assuming the drive itself is correctly formatted). The adapter is compatible with USB 3, USB 2 and USB 1.1 sockets as well as with SATA 3, SATA 2 and SATA 1 interfaces. Depending on the drive connected, a maximum throughput of 5Gps is claimed.
The all plastic adapter weighs in at just 22g and is 20 cm in length. There are
