DiResta Bench To Table

In this project I make a convertible “Bench to Table.” This bench to table conversion project is a design that I have seen on the Internet for the last several years. I’ve only ever seen it made out of 2x4’s in wood, so for my design I wanted to make it out of metal, as this will afford me the ability to make it a little bit more light and little more dainty. I had to re-design the profile from the original one made out of 2x4’s. I made a small scale model to understand the action in the pivot points, then I went to a profile in full scale, and then I went to 1x3 14 gage Metal. For this convertible bench to table project, I use the Lincoln MP 210 and also the Lincoln MP 140.
