Lavaggi LS1 LMP1 [One-Off] Endurance Race Car by Giovanni Lavaggi, V8 Turbo Engine, Imola Circuit

In this video, the car that I propose is the Lavaggi LS1, a prototype sports racing car for Endurance races designed and built by Giovanni Lavaggi. Many of you probably don’t know the existence and history of this small builder. Mr Lavaggi, after competing in F1 with the Minardi team at a certain point in his life, decided to fulfil his dream of making his racing car, being himself a mechanical engineer. He then designed a car that competed in the top category, the LMP1, in the “Le Mans Series“ from 2006 to 2009. We must say that he was very unfortunate; so many electrical problems and the breakdown of the engines didn’t allow Lavaggi to finish the races. The financial crisis of that period and the lack of sponsors also didn’t help develop the car. What you see remains the sports car prototype built-in Monte Carlo, and also the white-red livery is a tribute to the flag of that principality.
